Quality of Information Assurance: Assessment Management and Use (QIAAMU)

The QIAAMU project (Sanders, PI) aims to build new technology that will enable DoD information systems 1) to provide an estimate of the confidence in the information assurance measures included in the system on an ongoing basis and in a manner that is useful for the mission operation; and 2) to increase or decrease the level of information assurance based on the specified needs of the user and the mission, trading off quality of service in a safe and reliable way.  This includes identifying usable Quality of Information Assurance metrics and in understanding the Quality of Information Assurance and Quality of Service trade-off space.
